Swirls & Splashes is my homage to all things magical, enchanting and ethereal.
Growing up near the woods, in a small quaint town in Sabah, located on the northern part of Borneo Island. I have a deep fascination with insects ever since I was a kid. I spent a lot of my time outdoors and on one memorable evening, I spotted a swarm of dragonflies passing by, their iridiscent wings caught my eyes, as they look a lot like fairies, which I love. Those days, fairy trinkets were rare and most of them were really expensive. So I have to rely on my imaginations to create one, and upcycling is the best way to do it, which jump-start my passion in making handmade crafts.

Mermaid is another mythical creature that I'm in love with ever since I'd seen the movie Splash. I remember pestering my mom to take me to the beach so I could look out for mermaids, luckily there's plenty of sandy white beaches where I live. I would spend my weekends picking up seashells and stored them in a jar as a memorabilia, while looking out for mermaids which sadly never seem to appear 😅
Over the years, my love for fairies and mermaids have inspired me to start my own handmade jewelry & crafts collection. I love designing unique pieces which suit the personality of the wearer as I believe everyone should embrace their own individuality, regardless of the current fashion trend.
Ethereal design with a vintage vibe which leans heavily towards fairy-tale like, whimsical, Pre-Raphaelite & romanticism style is the overall style for my handmade collection 🍂
